October 26, at 6:30 p.m. the Heber branch of the Imperial County Free Library is having a Halloween story time with costume contest at the Matus Hall, 1078 S. Dogwood, in Heber. Children who check out from the Heber branch and read 5 books before that date can win a prize. The event is free, will include a story, activities and snacks. Holtville, at the Meyer Memorial branch at 101 E. 6th Street (356-2385) will be having a free Halloween story time will be held their on Wednesday, October 27 at 4:00 pm.
Calipatria Public Library, located at 105 S. Lake Street, (348-2630) is having its Halloween story time at 2:30 p.m. on the 27th. Children of any age are welcome and both story times include stories, activities and snacks.
